Carnage Island

Author: Lexi C Foss

Series: Standalone (Reject Island Series)

Welcome to Carnage Island. Home of brutal chaos. Blood and tears. And nefarious schemes.

A half-breed. A reject. A wolf without a mate. My family doesn’t want me. My Alpha disowned me. And my mate rejected me.

So I’ve just been given a new pack assignment. Carnage Island. Home to the worst of wolf kind. Vicious claws. Cruel beasts. Wicked deeds. I’m not one of them. But I’m not a Nantahala Wolf either. I’m something distinctly other: an Omega trapped in an Alpha’s skin.

One step toward my fate, and all the males turn their heads. I’m fresh meat. Property to be claimed. Hide-and-seek is now a game of life and death. With claws and teeth. And malice and pain. Only the strongest will survive. Enter at your own peril.

Omegas are drawn to Alphas, just as we’re drawn to them. And I am absolutely fucking drawn to this little beast with her pretty white fur and intelligent brown eyes.

After being discarded as a feral reject by her intended mate, Clove is rescued by the top Alpha clan and leaders of Reject Island, Tieran, Volt and Caius.

Although the men are deadly and more than a little dangerous, they are endearingly gentle and possessive of her. I loved that from the moment they dragged her out of the water, they fell over themselves to care for the lost and emotionally devastated wolf – no matter how distant and morally grey they normally were. Sometimes I get a little worn out by the constant push-pull-bullying of rejected mate romances. This, combined with the solid story and pacing made it a 5 star for me.

Obviously there is some drama – since Clove is only a half breed Omega, her heat is unreliable, and so is her ability to give Tieran an heir. No heir, means no pack inheritance. But after a violent shifter battle, including revenge on her former mate and pack, the Alphas and their Omega find a HEA.
